Society of Hop Research appoints advisory board
The participants of the 81st general meeting, which took place on the 26th March 2007 in the German Hop Museum in Wolnzach, approved unanimous the installation of an international advisory board. This board was constituted on the very next day at the Paulaner Brewery in Munich. The initial members of the advisory board are:

Dr. Lex Ronteltap, Heineken (NL)
Marjolein van Wijngaarden, EBC (NL)
The Society of Hop Research hopes to gain early indications of development tendencies on the worldwide beer market from this board of experts, to initiate research and breeding activities in an early stage, as around 2/3 of the hop grown and processed in Germany is exported according to the demands of the breweries in roundabout 150 countries.
