Siebel Institute Master of Beer Styles and Evaluation Course

The program starts with the one-day Sensory Analysis course in which Lyn Kruger, President of Siebel Institute, will instruct participants in the techniques used by brewing industry professionals to assess the positive and negative attributes of beer.

Next on the curriculum is the Master of Beer Styles course which begins by reviewing the language and role of styles and the full range of beer ingredients and processes.

The main part of the course is then spent on a style-by-style tour of the origins, evolution, and defining characteristics of each major beer style. Extensive beer tasting is conducted throughout the course with dozens of brews sampled and discussed with classmates and instructors Ray Daniels and Randy Mosher.
