BrewDog’s profits soar in 2014
Not bad for a brewer that was only founded in 2007 and started out with two employees and one dog. Scottish brewer BrewDog has posted profits and revenue up over 60 percent in 2014.
On 2 April 2015 the Aberdeen-based brewer reported an annual turnover of GBP 29.6 million (EUR 40 million) in 2014, up from GBP 18 million in 2013, while its profits soared to GBP 4.9 million (EUR 6.7 million) from GBP 2.9 million over the same period.
Last year BrewDog also launched 12 new bars - taking the total to 26 - including sites in Tokyo, Sao Paulo and Helsinki. It now ships drinks to 55 countries and boasts a global bar franchise.
On their website BrewDog say they produced 90,000 hl beer in 2014 and employed about 360 people.
