Krones acquires Schaefer Förderanlagen- und Maschinenbau GmbH

Krones AG, Neutraubling, Germany, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of beverage filling and packaging technology, has acquired 100 % of the shares in Schaefer Förderanlagen- und Maschinenbau GmbH, Unterföhring, Germany.

Schaefer has since 2014 been focusing on engineering and after sales services in the field of pallet handling solutions for the beverage industry. Schaefer GmbH’s expertise and its patent portfolio will complement Krones’ own packaging technology. In 2014, Schaefer GmbH achieved a turnover of approximately 2 million euros with engineering and after sales services.
