Foster’s wedding gift

The royal wedding – arentyousickofit? But it ain’t over yet. Now the world has been put into the know that Foster’s has sent a bottle (number 2904) of Foster’s 2011 Crown Ambassador Reserve Lager as a wedding gift to Prince William and Kate Middleton … the number marks their marriage date (29 April).

Head brewer John Cozens was quoted as saying that the high alcohol beer “will develop more complex flavours in the royal cellars in the next three or four years.”

A limited edition of 7,000 bottles will be released to us lesser mortals on 1 August 2011. The beer is expected to retail at AUD 90 (EUR 66) per bottle in Australia.

Foster’s first launched its what it calls luxury brand, Crown Ambassador Reserve in 2008.
