Next EBC president announced

The Board of The Brewers of Europe meeting on 3 November 2015 in Brussels has endorsed the nomination by the European Brewery Convention of Mr. Tiago Monteiro Brandão as successor to Dr. Stefan Lustig for the next EBC president.

Born 1974, Tiago M. Brandão is Human Resources Director for Unicer Bebidas SA, perhaps best known as producers of Superbock, one of Portugal’s most famous national beer brands. Coming from a brewing technical background, Tiago was R&D and Innovation Director and previously worked as Quality & Brewery Production Manager at the same company. His education include an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from De Monfort University (Leicester, UK) as well as a Brewing Engineer and Brewmasters Degree from the Scandinavian School of Brewing in Copenhagen.

He will be the first Portuguese EBC president in the 68 year history of the association.

Tiago lives and works in Porto and is married with 2 daughters.
