Brussels Beer Challenge to take place in Turnhout

Belgium | This year’s Brussels Beer Challenge will take place in Turnhout, which is regarded the capital of the Antwerp Kempen, with its many tourist attractions and beautiful natural surroundings. The city is famous for its history, rich folklore and cultural life – the perfect setting for hosting Belgium’s leading beer-centric event.

The tasting sessions will be held from 29–31 October 2023 in the prestigious ‘Paterspand’ in the centre of Turnhout.About the Brussels Beer Challenge

The Challenge brought a prominent international competition to Belgium. Although there are already acclaimed competitions elsewhere, it was only fitting that Belgium should offer brewers across the globe a representative, yet independent trade venue to compete against one another.

For three days, a panel of 100 renowned international judges will assess the 2000 competing beers. These will be grouped in consistent flights based on their origin, typicity and style and will be judged according to strict, objective criteria. The finest beers in each category will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals.
